Our purpose is twofold: (1) to highlight improvements already underway, and (2) to provide ideas on new improvements for tomorrow.
Links to articles, papers, reports and interviews discuss challenges the world faces, insights to achieving purposeful change, and examples of collaboration and innovation which are vital for us to build forwards better.
SUREDIS is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) whilst also intending to contribute towards the next iteration of global goals that will be used from 2030 onwards.
Sustainability is a critical challenge for the coming decades. We must find ways to be more sustainable, for humans and the natural world that we are part of.
Demonstrating resilience in a purposeful way has never been more important.

The threat of disasters to people and the environment is ever-present. It is linked to our climate and to other factors including how we choose to develop as a society.
A Newsletter began in 2023 from the team working on the Disasters Avoided initiative.
